Local radar; best for tracking approaching rain storms and cold fronts.
Weather Underground http://www.wunderground.com/US/FL/Punta_Gorda.html
Natioal weather map; shows high and low pressure zones and links
to many other great maps and satellite images. Weakness is that many
images do not reach offshore; you can have a big storm coming in off the
Gulf and will not show on many of these images. This can be dangerous
for Floridian's using these links.

The NOAA GOES images cover the oceans and continents and are a must for tracking storms moving offshore in the Gulf. They are good for showing high and low pressure circulation.
Best for hurricans approaching from the Atlantic.
