This work was done in a Batis and Salicornia marsh in Charlotte Harbor that received episodic tidal inundation. Degree awarded 1979. - National Science Foundation, Tropical Botany Summer Seminar, University of Miami and Fairchild Tropical Gardens, 1970. Worked with a group of international scientists on tropical plant physiology and taxonomy. - Memphis State University, Memphis, Tennessee, 1963 - 1970: Master's Degree in Botany, 1970. Thesis topic, A Floristic Survey of Crittenden County, Arkansas. The County was predominantly a Mississippi River floodplain and oxbow lake habitat with some portions protected from inundation for over fifty years through the construction of levees.
