On our previous day hike to the Pass, half the party hiked up to the peak to the right of the pass.  They reported spectacular views of the Beartooth and Absoroka (pronounced Ab-sor-kas by the local elite) ranges outside the Park.

We finished the day with a brief uphill to the pass south of Meridian Peak followed by a good downhill to the trail head.
